A grant from the National Lottery Community Fund was succesful to pay for an additional information board, a duck float and 4 new benches , including one with wheelchair accessibility. The benches will require no maintenance as are made of recycled plastic
Further maintenance is planned for November with a 4 year cycle of removing excess reed growth
ERYC cut the area every 15 working days – weather permitting this starts late March each year
We try to time volunteers cutting around their schedule. ERYC have been asked them to cut whenever they come regardless, as often their timing can be a little erratic. They do not move any of the furniture so tidying up following a cut will still be required.
Duck tubes are being used, they look odd but work!
We are as a PC still pursuing the removal of the discharge permit, but it is anticipated to be a slow process.
